A very common bug that can be encountered regularly in the garden is the Dock bug (Coreus marginatus) [1, 2] from the family of Leaf-footed bugs (Coreidae).

It is a rather large and sturdy bug that can be found on numerous species of plant in the garden…. except on Dock. There were some Dock plants but I’ve removed them because they grow large and take up space.
