New garden species

LOCATION: Krimpen aan den IJssel, garden


A new visitor, in house this time. The Tawny mining bee (Andrena fulva) a common bee from the Mining bees (Andrena) family [1, 2, 3].

THe bee was starved, sitting on the bathroom floor and was very sluggish. I fed it some honey to see if it would recover and when it did I releashed it into the garden again.

It is a very beautifull bee with nice deep and dark colors.
