On the tiles in front of the backdoor I spotted this caterpillar. At first glance it looked like it was dead. At close inspection that turned out not te be the case but life didn’t seem its first priority…
Its a common moth from the family of Owlet moths, the Hearth and dart (Agrotis exclamationis).
The animal was very slow and walked small distances, so in the end I helped it a little and moved it into the border to prevent it from being crushed by one of my family members.
