Some days after hanging up the wick bait station the first Yellow-legged hornet (Vespa velutina) appeared to drink.

As time passed more specimens found their way to the bait station, frequently multiple at the same time.

Unfortunately, since a week or two they stopped their visits, which raises the suspicion that the nest has been removed. Too bad, it brought me much enjoyment to observe these magnificent animals.
