Begin July both male as well as female gall wasps Xestophanes potentillae [Soortenregister] were active on and surrounding their host plant Creeping cinquefoil (Potentilla reptans) (fig. 1, 2). The observations and findings are described in Krischan 2024 [Krischan 2024].

In August many galls had developed on the plants (fig. 3).

During the gall inventory in September a single male was found, which might point to a second generation [Krischan 2025]. Or maybe the fact that the animal had lost its wings could be related to its late presence? (fig. 4)
