In the Rosemary near the ground hung this impressive, some centimeters large cocoon, belonging to the Ruby tiger (Phragmatobia fuliginosa) [Soortgenregister]. The plant acts as a surface only since it is not one of the species host plants. I’ve yet to see the adult moth, but the caterpillars can be regularly seen crawling on the garden tiles in spring.
