Past season some of the permanent hymenopteran garden residents visited the Trumpet vine (Campsis radicans) for the first time, which is kind of remarkable since both coexist already for numerous years. Among the new foragers the Black garden ant (Lasius niger) [Soortenregister],[Boer 2015] that colonized almost every flower bud, where they licked up the oozing nectar.
