The Globe thistles (Echinops ritro) in our garden turn out to serve a diverse group of guests of bees wasps, flies and this longhorn beetle, probably a Red longhorn beetle (Stictoleptura rubra) ^{[Soortenregister]}. Both the nectar as well as the pollen are consumed by the beetle, that frequently could be found on the flowers.
