Inventory activities of gall wasp galls on Creeping cinquefoil (Potentilla reptans) disturbed this Knot grass (Acronicta rumicis) [1] caterpillar during feeding. The animal quickly collected itself and continued foraging. It crawled further after finishing eating a leaf. The moth as wel as the larva of this common species hadn’t been observed before in the garden; a new garden species!
