A small digger wasp crawled around on a stone underneath the bee hotels, that from a distance seemed not be able to fly. The male Stigmus pendulus^[1] indeed could not lift off due to a deformed righter forewing, in which especially the tip was severely crumpled.

I caught him for a photo session and the next time he passed away.
