The old wood of the Butterfly bush (Buddleja davidii) is popular with the smaller digger wasps from the family Pemphredonidae. They use old beetle boreholes to construct their nests. This female Passaloecus insignis [1], a new garden species, was looking for looking suitable spot as well.
