This common hover fly, the Glass-winged syrphus (Syrphus vitripennis) [1] can be recognised by the hair free eyes and almost black thighs. This female has fed on nectar of the Cushion spurge (Euphorbia epithymoides) flower. The strange fold in her right forewing is a deformation.
