After observing some Lily beetle (Lilioceris lilii) ^[1] on the Lily plant, including a copulating pair, I checked the plant regularly for eggs. And for sure, the underside of a leaf was ornated with a string of eggs.

Another string was located elsewhere on the plant… at the end of summer all that was left of the plant was a bare stem.
