A female E. coronatus ^[1] visited the garden for the fist time this year, attracted by the flowering Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare). She returned frequently and limited her visits to the single specimen of the ‘purpureum‘ fennel variant in the garden that stands a bit hidden behind a larger ‘normal’ relative.
She was very skittish and difficult to photograph which resulted in this useable but not great photograph. Hopefully next season provides a rematch 😅
