Garden visitors from the wasp genus Ancisterocerus usually are females. Their presence does attract the, in the garden, scarser males.

The Ancisterocerus nigricornis [1] females are regularly foraging on the Giant goldenrod (Solidago gigantea).

These males enjoy the plant’s nectar as well albeit less frequent.
