Agenioideus sericeus ♀︎

Last update: 11 August 2021

The very rare wasp Agenioideus sericeus [1] aparently is still active in the garden. She looks very similar to Auplopus carbonarius but that species is somewhat bigger which was what triggered me while I was waiting for an Ancisterocerus wasp to sit.

It is a nervous wasp that flaps her wings during her fast pace. But it is good to know she is here, next time hopefully produces some nicer pictures.
