A first small success with the Digger wasp hill. This Sweat bee female, probably Lasioglossum sextrigatum sp. inc., was inspecting the sandy plane for some time and eventually started digging beneath a decayed leaf until she disappeared in the sand completely.

Hopefully the Digger wasp females are equally easy to adopt the new breeding ground.
