Today on this sunny day the 2021 season has official been open with the appearance of the European orchard bee (Osmia cornuta) [1] males.

They rest on the sunny walls and hang around the nesting holes in the bee hotel, where they crawled out themselves, waiting for the later appearing females.

They drink nectar on the blooming Grape hyacinth (Muscari botryoides).
