I found this Green shield bug (Palomena prasina) ^[1] egg cluster on the back of a Great willowherb (Epilobium hirsutum) leaf.

I’ve not seen the species on the plant so far and it seems to me that this species ovipositions on plants that it apparently does not use for food.

Another cluster of eggs found in 2021.
