Kleinste kever van Europa in Nederland gevonden

NatureToday reports the discovery of a new beetle species in the Netherlands Baranowskiella ehnstromi.

The beetle is the smallest species in Europe and measures half a millimetre in length. It was expected since the beetle was already found in other countries and some years of thorough searching finally produced results when it was found on Phellinus conchatus, a fungus.
