Closterotomus trivialis

Last update: 15 April 2022
OBSERVATION:
2019-VI-23

This smaller true bug was resting on Dame’s rockets. It is Closterotomus trivialis (det. GerardL), a very rare species! [2]

She occurs in southern parts of Europe and is an introduced species here in the Netherlands, where it was first observed in 1998 (source: Nederlands soortenregister) [1].

A rather nice find.

UPDATE 2022/04/15

The rarity of the species has been changed to uncommon [2].
