A female Willughby’s Leaf-cutter Bee (Megachile willughbiella) [1] foraging for pollen on Broad-leaved sweet pea (Lathyrus latifolius).

This rather large bee is not a frequent visitor on this plant and seemed only to appear after the Chalicodoma ericetorum bees stopped visiting the plant. Possibly I have missed this species among the C. ericetorum bees that always swarm the plant in large numbers.

The male will stop to drink every now and then too.
