When speaking about the devil… the post yesterday about the visit of the Orange tip male hasn’t left the building yet or a white figure appears in the garden with an interest for the Garlic mustard flowers.

Flying around the butterfly looks like a small white but the hind wings flicker in view and clearly show a grey color on the underside… hello mrs. Orange tip!

The Orange tip is whiter than the normal whites so they stand out a little better.

She took her time insepcting all the Musterd garlic and drinking from its  flowers. Then another female appears, this one smaller. The joy is short lived as the first female does not enjoy competition and chases the smaller one out of the garden with a few directed strikes.

At dusk the first female was resting lazilly in the last rays of the evening sun, it seems she will stay.

So mission accomplished, next stop eggs and larvae I say!! 🤘🏻😂
