The Common carder bee (Bombus pascuorum) is a common bumble bee in the Netherlands and a yearly returning visitor to the garden. The bumble bee has variety in color schemes but this one with the white flanks I like best.

Here the specimen is foraging on Purple toadflax (Linaria purpurea).
