A mating couple of Neoascia podagrica hoverflies. The male is on top.

Neoascia podagrica

The species is reconizable among other by the yellow spot on the second and third dorsal segment and the colored veins on the front wing[1,2].

This female was drinking on a Flax (Linum usitatissimum).
