Nature Today reports the finding of both eggs and larvae of the very rare Mallow skipper (Carcharodus alceae) in the province Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, a border province with Belgium in the South of the Netherlands. This species had disappeared since 1953, but was rediscovered in 2009. The warm weather during this year’s summer helped this development.
